The last iconic project by the 2004 Pritzker Prize winner and well renowned famous architect Zaha Hadid.
It was in Miami that she loved and where she spent her last moments that the Anglo-Iraqi architect designed this luxurious project that look like no other. Presently under construction, they are on the way to becoming "collector’s item".
Unfortunately she did not live to see it. However all her ardour and her drawings will remain in this building.
She signed off her last extravagant project, on March 30, 2016, the day before her death.
"Mercury House" in Malta consists of two unusual towers whose concept of twist is more than surprising. One of the towers will offer 38 floors, culminating at about 175 m, which will combine on the first 3 floors a luxury mall hosting some of the most prestigious brands in the world, together with residences forming part of a renowned hotel and luxury apartments on the higher floors.
The second building will be designed in the same spirit in a concept only intended for commercial office space.
This very futuristic set of buildings will be a jewel of design in Malta and will remain the last emblem of the artist ZAHA HADID. This artistic building will give an additional dimension to the real estate boom that Malta has experienced in recent years.
The sumptuous design of Zaha Hadid is admired even by those who expressed reservations about her creations.
Breathtaking, curved, sensual lines animate the facades of these luxuriously designed residences with various pools in floors in transparency.
The promoter of MERCURY HOUSE, is making this project his signature project, which is destined to become one of the most private and prestigious addresses in Malta.
With a spectacular entrance it promises to be a singular, exclusive address.
Zaha Hadid’s final flourish is being built in the heart of St.Julian's, which is the centre of Malta’s best addresses.
Shortly after the announcement of the death of the architect, pre-contractual agreements were signed on the separate apartments within the two towers which is now ‘sold out’ in a couple of days to hungry investors.
Owning an address in Mercury Towers will mean owning a "collector’s item", especially since the architect also designed the interior fittings.
This sumptuous project will be her final artistic gift to the world, to architecture and to the few who will have the privilege of owning part of the iconic heritage of Zaha Hadid.
